Founder’s Message

Born on 15th December, 1939, at Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, a star was born with a mission to leave his indelible impressions in the field of Karma Yoga. His parents, Seth Chiranjilal and Durga Devi Khaitan, lovingly named him Shree Krishna
Shree Krishna grew up in the midst of affluence and rich cultural ambience. Yet, he created a world of his own—full of innocence, imagination, and inquisitiveness. His entrepreneurial spirit was well manifested even while growing up. At the young age of 16, while pursuing his Intermediate in Commerce, he started a shop for food grains and other edibles in his village.
In June 1958, at the tender age of 18, he travelled to Calcutta to pursue his twin dreams of business and academics. While pursuing his graduation, he also worked in a sugar mill. His conviction that life without fruitful activities is meaningless led him to the arena of entrepreneurship.
Establishing a company with his brother in the name of S Khaitan & Co., Shree Krishna started wholesaling reputed brands of fans along with his own brand of fan called Breezy. Quality was the essence in every transaction he made, as he was a strong believer in fair business ethics.
He took the boldest step in his enterprising career to manufacture his own brand of fans, and thus Khaitan Fan was born in 1971. There was no looking back thereafter. Khaitan kept on winning the confidence of customers and soon became a household name.
Shree Krishna was a visionary who built an empire that rewarded achievement and offered opportunities for personal development and growth. He was the moving spirit behind the Khaitan Group of Companies. His life was studded with human qualities—warmth, helpfulness, care, and concern for people around him—making him stand above others as a friend and leader.
“Khaitan – the name is enough” was not an advertising gimmick, but a belief. A belief that the Khaitan name would find its place among valued patrons and customers, who would hold it in high esteem with love and conviction.
Sincerely,
S. K. Khaitan
